FAQs

88MED

  • How long does medication take to be delivered?

Pharmacies are taking 1-2 weeks from order date until delivery of medication. Please take this into account when requesting a refill.
  • Can you send me a copy of my bloodwork results?

We cannot send medical records via email. A patient can access his labs via our HIPAA compliant patient portal.
  • What should I bring to my first appointment?

For your initial visit, please bring a valid identification document, a comprehensive list of your current medications, and any relevant recent laboratory results.
  • How do I administer my medication?

Injectable medication administration will be administered either subcutaneous or intramuscular and will depend on the particular medication. Our physician will instruct you on how to inject your medication to ensure you are comfortable doing it at home
  • How/when do I get my refills?

Testosterone is a controlled substance. We do not set up automatic refills. The pharmacies will allow our physician to refill your medication when it is calculated to be 80-85% used based on your current dose. Please do not modify your dose without our physician’s approval. Doing so without the approval will not qualify you for an early refill in the event you run out of your medication early.
  • When am I due for follow up labs?

After starting TRT injection therapy with 88 MED, the first set of follow up labs are drawn typically 6 - 8 weeks after initial treatment begins. These labs are obtained on an injection day but we ask that you do NOT inject your medication until after your blood has been obtained. If it is not an injection day or if you mistakenly injected your medication already you will be asked to reschedule. For patients on pellet therapy, we get labs 4 weeks after your procedure in males, and 6 weeks after in females. Follow ups after that are at the discretion of our physician and will be communicated to you either in person or through our HIPAA compliant patient portal.
  • How do I communicate with my provider/Can I have the provider's email?

Our physician is hard at work daily helping many patients with their needs on their scheduled appointments. We understand that sometimes questions arrive intermittently. The best way to communicate with our physician is to use the HIPAA-compliant patient portal. Our physician checks this daily and is very good at getting back responding within 24 – 48 hours during the work week.
  • Are my results in yet?

You can check your patient portal. Rest assured that when the office receives your lab results, we will reach out to you to go over your results. This is typically done through a message in the patient portal.
  • How long does it take to get a consultation?

Times will vary by workload. Typically, we are able to schedule your initial consultation within 7 – 10 days.
